The Astrology Of June – Eclipse Season and Mercury Retrograde

There are no two ways about it. June is the month of Mercury retrograde. This month is when our planet Mercury retrograde goes retrograde, and it is also the beginning of the solar eclipse season.

Months ago I wrote a blog post regarding the June 2017 Solar Eclipse, and now that Mercury has begun its retrograde motion on June 6th I thought it would be fun to write another blog post. This time, I’ll be discussing the Solar Eclipse, Mercury’s retrograde motion, and the astrological season of June.

This June is a great time to embrace the eclipse. Not only does the sun (our life force) enter a new sign, but Mercury is also retrograde. These two things happening at the same moment is a powerful cosmic moment. It’s like “pop” and “poof” all at once. That could be the thing that makes us change our life and move forward in a new direction.

If you’re a little bored or missing a challenge, June 2024 is the month to look forward to. Your life will be eventful, to say the least. Of course, if you’re not bored and already have a lot to do, June can push you to the limit. With eclipse season in full swing, the 2nd squared off with Saturn and Uranus and Mercury retrograde for most of the month, June will definitely be a month to remember! But let’s take a look at the most important transits of the month:

2. June 2024 – Venus enters Cancer

The second one. June 2024 Venus leaves Gemini and enters Cancer, in trine with Jupiter in Pisces. What a great reception! Venus feels at ease in Cancer, and after a relatively exciting season in Gemini, it’s a pleasant change.

10. June 2024 – Solar Eclipse in Gemini

word-image-12731

After a relatively comfortable start to the month, the weather turns as the event of the month approaches. On the 10th. In June 2024, there is a New Moon and an annular solar eclipse at 19° Gemini. The eclipse is definitely in conjunction with Mercury retrograde and square with Neptune in Pisces, so it’s a confusing situation! Confusion is not necessarily a bad thing, but when Mercury is retrograde and square to Neptune, things may not be quite what they seem, to say the least.

This solar eclipse in Gemini is an annular eclipse. Annular eclipses are special total eclipses. The lunar disk completely covers the sun, as in a total eclipse, but because the moon is a little further from the earth than normal, a ring of sunlight forms around the edge of the moon that looks like a halo. The halo has a deep spiritual meaning, symbolizing the resurrection or the idea that the sacred and divine (light) cannot be overcome by darkness.

10. June 2024 – Mercury retrograde in conjunction with the Sun

On the 10th. In June, the Sun goes retrograde with Mercury at 20° Gemini. Each time we have a retrograde conjunction of the Sun and Mercury, a new 116-day Mercury cycle begins! This does not mean that Mercury is retrograde, but the conjunction of Mercury and the Sun gives us a sense of hope and a new beginning.

We are now in that intermediate phase where we are still in the celestial orbit of the previous Mercury cycle – meaning we are still connected to the knowledge of the past, but have received a new creative impulse from the Sun.

11. June 2024 – Mars enters Leo

On the eleventh. In June 2024, Mars will leave the sign of Cancer and enter the sign of Leo. For some reason, we always notice when a planet enters the sign of Leo, because that’s what Leo energy is – standing out and becoming known. And that’s not because Leo is an attention-grabbing energy….. but because you can’t help but notice the planet in the sun sign.

It is the light, glow and warmth that emanates from every planet that passes through the Leo area of the sky. And when Mars, the boldest of the bold, enters Leo, the temperature will rise almost immediately. In daily life, Mars in Leo gives direction and focus to our lives. It will be easier for us to connect with our hearts and act from this place of truth and authenticity. As a result, we feel more focused on life and more confident in our actions.

14. June 2024 – Saturn squareUranus

In mid-June we have the second (of three) Saturn-Uranus squares. Saturn is at 13° Aquarius and Uranus is at 13° Taurus. Saturn and Uranus have been in close orbit for most of the year, so it’s not like we were surprised by this square…. we were already used to the tensions and frictions, so to speak.

But as with any aspect that becomes accurate, we will experience a spike in energy. An energetic climax is good, as long as there is no further escalation. Tension is at its peak, forcing us to pay attention to the things that need our attention. It’s time to address what’s broken and fix it once and for all.

20. June 2024 – Jupiter goes retrograde

img source: astroclips.com

On the 20th. June 2024, Jupiter is retrograde at 2° Pisces. When Jupiter changes direction, our belief system undergoes an overhaul. Most of our beliefs are borrowed from other people. When Jupiter goes retrograde, it’s a good time to examine these borrowed beliefs and ask ourselves if they really define us. We know that we drift from our beliefs when we feel alienated and lose faith.

Our natural state is our faith in life. When we lose that faith, we know that something is wrong, that there is something in our beliefs that needs to be addressed and re-examined. Jupiter retrograde is an excellent opportunity to get realistic and question our belief system.

21. June 2024 – the Sun enters Cancer

Happy birthday to all the Lobsters! On the 21st. In June 2024, the sun enters the sign of Cancer and the Northern Solstice takes place, bringing us summer in the northern hemisphere and winter in the southern hemisphere. Like any entry of the Sun into a cardinal sign, this is a very important turning point. And I mean that literally, because the sun literally changes direction when it is at 0° Cancer.

If you’re in the northern hemisphere, the sun moves south, and if you’re in the southern hemisphere, the sun moves north. The solstice in Cancer is also a strong moment. We either have the longest day or the longest night of the year. At this point we are at a crossroads: Are we going to continue on this path or are we going to set a new course?

22. June 2024 – Mercury goes direct

img source: astrologyzone.com

The 22nd. June 2024 Mercury turns direct at 16° Gemini, bringing us renewed focus, mental clarity and a sense of direction. Mercury retrograde is good because it is in Gemini, the sign of his house. When Mercury is in the domicile, the retrograde is also not as strong as in the other signs of the zodiac.

Yes, we had to rework what didn’t work, yes, we had to fix what was broken, but it’s not like we had a lot of obstacles in our way. And now that Mercury is going direct, not only does a sudden weight fall off our shoulders, but also a sense of accomplishment and forward motion: Yes, it was a little difficult, but it was worth it!

24. June 2024 – Full Moon in Capricorn

The 24th. In June, we have a Full Moon at 3° Capricorn. The Full Moon forms a nice sextile with Jupiter and is at 23° with Pluto (Pluto is now at 26° Capricorn). Most of the full moons of the last 10 years or so were Pluto’s preferred ones.

This Full Moon will have such different vibes that we will wonder if it is really a Full Moon in Capricorn…. or if we’re still in the Gemini/Sagittarius lunar cycle. Yes, the full moon is in Capricorn, just brighter and more optimistic than usual. This is one of the most positive and constructive full moons of the year, so take advantage of it!

25. June 2024 – Neptune goes retrograde

img source: refinery29.com

The 25th. June Neptune is retrograde at 23° Pisces. When the planet changes direction, we see an amplification of the problems associated with that planet. When Neptune is retrograde, old memories, dreams, fantasies, or desires surface and invite us to face them. Sure, the way Neptune handles things isn’t very direct, but that doesn’t mean Neptune doesn’t work in the background.

In fact, the background work is very Neptune. Let’s say something happens to us, but we can’t process it. This raw thought or feeling eventually manifests itself in a dream. We are stuck in a problem and can’t find a solution, but suddenly, when we take a shower or a walk, the solution comes to us. Dreams, accidents, unexpected encounters – all these are the work of Neptune.

Neptune may not be direct, but he does offer solutions. Watch for signs, dreams, unusual communication messages. If something seems relevant and important to you – even if you can’t identify what it is – it probably is, and Neptune is whispering it in your ear.

27. June 2024 – Venus enters Leo

The 27th. June Venus enters the royal sign of Leo and begins her conjunction with Mars. Next month we have a beautiful conjunction of Venus and Mars in the sign of Leo.

This is the happiest, most romantic and creative aspect and probably one of the most exciting aspects of the year! But more about the Venus-Mars conjunction in the July forecast!

How do you load…June is the phase of the moon that brings the shortest days of the year. If you think about the moon’s phases in the context of the astrological calendar, you’ll see that this month is most closely related to the sun. June is also a time when Mercury, the planet responsible for the planet’s voice, travels backwards in the sky. This has the effect of making the planet quieter, which means it is slightly harder to hear..

What does Mercury in retrograde mean astrology?

Mercury, the planet that rules communication, is retrograde (meaning moving backward) from June 15th through July 1st. This can cause communication difficulties and delays, and of course, it is a major hindrance to astrologers because the planet rules our vision, hearing and interpretation of astrological information.

The most common myth about Mercury retrograde is that it causes communication delays. Mercury retrograde is more likely to cause delays in travel, mail delivery and the Internet. Mercury in retrograde is the popular term used to describe Mercury being in retrograde. The term comes from a time when people in the past didn’t know where Mercury orbited in the sky.

If they saw Mercury in the same position for a long time, then the planets they thought were Mercury were actually Venus or Mars. This was a completely different situation than the one today, where we know where Mercury is in the sky.

Is Mercury retrograde worse for Gemini?

Mercury is the planet of communication and Gemini has the sign of communication. The perfect combination for Mercury retrograde in Gemini. This week is a busy week for communication and Gemini’s. Mercury retrograde is a time to look inward. It’s a time for questions. Mercury is a planet of communication, but with Mercury retrograde, communication is even better.

It’s a time for clarity, especially if you communicate with others. But Mercury retrograde is not a time to sit back and relax, it’s a time to work on problems. The key is to have a clear vision of what you want to communicate. Mercury retrograde, a rare and mysterious phenomenon, is happening right now. It has been happening since the early 1900s, and it typically causes communication breakdowns, delays in flights, broken agreements, and much more.

This time, it’s happening in June and is known as a retrograde period. Normally, it occurs in the sign of Gemini, but this particular period occurs in Gemini and Cancer, and during a retrograde period, the planets and stars reflect. It’s believed the universe is trying to get your attention.

How will the solar eclipse affect Gemini?

The total solar eclipse of 2017 will be a rare celestial event in which the Sun will be completely covered by the Moon, covering two thirds of the Sun. The partial eclipse which will occur in the middle of the day will be the most observable and visible to the naked eye. This rare celestial event will be seen by millions of people on the planet.

It is being called a rare celestial event and its rarity makes it an opportunity to study the effects it will have on planets, people, and animals. This morning on the East Coast, millions of people will be able to witness the total solar eclipse, a rare celestial event that won’t happen again until 2032.  The space phenomenon will hit the United States in a North-South path, meaning that while most of the country won’t get to see the eclipse, those in the North will witness it, while those in the South won’t.

Americans who live in the areas that will be in the path of the eclipse will have to wear special glasses, or use special solar filters, to view the phenomenon. Those who live in the area that will be in the path of totality, the path of the moon’s shadow, will see the moon disappear from the sky, becoming
